On Wednesday 28th November, we were delighted to welcome back our Knex experts: Diane, Keith, Peter and Mrs Thomas to help us with a new Knex challenge. This time, we had to collaborate in pairs to design and build a vehicle that could carry unusual and precious cargo, namely a PE shoe and a rubber!
As well as transporting the cargo safely down a ramp, the winning buggy would travel the furthest. Not a minute was wasted that morning in diagrams, testing, modifications, discussion- all excellent skills required in engineering.
There was also an innovative idea explored by one pair, in using the Knex to fill out the PE shoe to give it more weight at the start of its descent. Congratulations to the winning pair, who won a Knex kit to take home.
